We’ll start with a nice shout out to Box Office Mojo for staying super up to date on all the money these movies pull in. With that being said, we have some SHOCKING news… well, not really. Avengers: Infinity War has reached $1 billion in only 11 days.
Seem fast? It should, because that’s a record.
Avengers: Infinity War made box office news last weekend as it broke the record for the biggest opening weekend of all time. It seems that box office records continue to get run over by the Marvel super franchise. Although the amount of money made dropped from last weekend, it’s spot on the charts has not changed. The movie remains #1 on almost every list around the world.
Such success has become quite common for Marvel. Marvel now has seven movies to surpass the $1 billion mark. Such a feat is even more impressive considering there have only been 34 movies to reach such a mark in history. Next on the calendar is the release of the crude humor sequel, Deadpool 2, debuting on May 18th, 2018. Soon after we see the return of Ant-Man in Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6th.
